Horseman Bobby Ingersoll is in the National Reined Cowhorse Hall of Fame for obvious reasons - a multitude of winning efforts throughout a long career, including three NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity titles and a 1975 "Triple Crown" in which he won all three divisions in the event. However, his horse-training peers more likely appreciate that Ingersoll's not just a competitor, but a hackamore reinsman of the old California tradition, capable of developing a young horse from the hackamore stage to the two-rein phase and ultimately into a "straight-up" bridle horse.
Few people nowdays have even a full understanding of the process, let alone years of actual experience riding many horses through it, as Ingersoll has.
